Brief Introduction

Gao Xueping, male, born in November 1962, professor, doctoral supervisor. He is the director of the Institute of Hydraulics, the academic leader of hydraulics and river dynamics, the member of the Academic Committee of Hydraulic Engineering, and the member of the Eighth Sub-Committee of Degree Evaluation of Tianjin University (College of Construction Engineering). Member of Urban Water Conservancy Committee of Chinese Hydraulic Society, member of Hydraulics Committee of Chinese Hydraulic Society, editorial member of Water Resources Protection, editorial member of South-to-North Water Diversion and Water Science and Technology. He was director of the Department of Hydropower, College of Construction Engineering, Tianjin University, executive Committee member of the China Branch of International Society for Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering (IAHR), editorial board member of Research and Progress in Hydrodynamics. His research interests include engineering hydraulics and environmental hydraulics. He has presided over the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Science and Technology Support Program, the National Major Science and Technology Project for Water Pollution Control and Treatment, the Fund for Returned Personnel of the Ministry of Education, the Special Research Fund for Doctoral programs of higher institutions, the Tianjin Natural Science Foundation, and a number of horizontal cooperative research projects. He has published more than 200 papers in high level journals at home and abroad such as hydraulic Journal, Energy, Renewable Energy and Journal of Hydrology, among which more than 50 papers have been indexed by SCI and EI. He has obtained 5 national invention patents. He has won 5 awards of Science and Technology Progress Award of Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Progress Award of Yunnan Province, and Science and Technology Progress Award of Tianjin. More than 90 graduate students and 30 doctoral students have been trained.
