Brief Introduction


Prof. Xiaoying Li mainly focuses on the research fields of nonlinear optics, quantum optics, and quantum information. She received bachelor and master degree from Tianjin University in 1989 and 1998, respectively. In 2002, she received her PhD degree from Shanxi University. From January 2002 to June 2005, she was a post-doctoral fellow at Northwestern University, USA. She joined in Tianjin University since July 2005. Aiming at developing the practical nonlinear and quantum optics technologies for quantum information processing, she set up a well equipped quantum optics lab in Tianjin University. She has published more than 90 papers in scientific journals and conferences, and more than 80 papers have been indexed by SCI/ EI. Her papers have got more than 900 citations (without self-citations). She is a member of the editorial board of “Acta Sinica Quantum Optica” and “Transactions of Tianjin University”. She serves the optical community as a topical editor for Optics letters since 2017. She has received a number of awards, including the 6th Chinese Young Women in Science Fellowship Awards in 2009, the 11th Tianjin Youth Science and Technology award in 2012, and the Wang Daheng Prize for Young Scientists in Optics in 2013. She is a member of the 7th discipline assessment groups of the academic degree commission of the state council.
