He earned his Ph.D. degree in 2005 from Tianjin University. Dr. Sun conducted his post-doctoral research at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tianjin University from 2005 to 2007. In 2009, he received a grant from the Chinese Scholarship Council and became a Visiting Scholar at Purdue University in the United States for one year. He conducted research on air distribution and airborne contaminant transport in airliner cabins.
- Dr. Sun's current research interests include aircraft cabin environment, indoor environment control, and optimization of air-conditioning and refrigeration technology and equipment.
