Professor Xiaoyuan Wang has earned his B.S. degree in 1982, M.S. degree in 1985 in Electrical Engineering from Tianjin University, and received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Shenyang university of Technology. After he graduated in 1985, he has been teaching in Tianjin University. He mainly teaches undergraduate courses such as Electrical Machines, Motor Control, Motor Electromagnetic Field Analysis and calculation, Motor testing technology, Motor measurement and Control technology, Lectures on Electrical Engineering new technology, and other courses. He teaches graduate courses like, Theory of Motor Electromagnetic Field, Theory of motor control and so on. He has completed a number of scientific research projects, including "national fund project", "863" project and other provincial and more than 10 ministerial level projects, and Published more than 100 research papers, including SCI, and more than 40 EI retrieval articles. At present, he is mainly engaged in the research of motor systems, permanent magnet motor design, and more especially the research on the design of electric vehicle motor drive system.
