The innovation team for Chemical Process Intensification (CPI)
The innovation team for Chemical Process Intensification (CPI) in Tianjin University is the“131”innovative talent team of Tianjin, as well as the major part of the innovative team of the Ministry of Education, China.The team includes 5 professors, 2 associate professors and 7 technicians, with one IChemE fellow, one Cheung Kong Scholar Professor of DOE, one National thousands of Talents Experts, and two New Century Excellent Talents in University.
    Focusing on the significant demands on efficient and clean production techniques in the fields of chemical, food, pharmaceutical industry, etc., we have strengthened the original innovation and the fundamental investigation for engineering applications. We have explored the approaches of molecular programmable construction to create novel catalysts, energy-storage and membrane materials. We have revealed  the multi-field coupling and transfer principles involving the spatial distributions of fluid flow, concentration and temperature inside the apparatus to establish the scale-up and optimization models for high  shear mixers and fluidized bed reactors. We have developed the process integration and optimization methods to optimize the industrial  processes.
    All the efforts aim at exalting the levels of industrial technology and promoting the upgrade development of related industries.
