Brief Introduction

Qun Han received the M.S. degree in optics from Nankai University, Tianjin, China, in 2003, and the Ph.D. degree in physical electronics from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, in 2006. Since 2006, he has been with the School of Precision Instrument and Opto-electronics Engineering (SPIOE) of Tianjin University, where he is now a tenured Associated Professor (since 2012). From 2011 to 2012 he was a Visiting Scholar in Prof. Hai Xiao's group with Missouri University of Science and Technology, Missouri, USA. His current research interests include high-power fiber amplifers and lasers, fiber sensors, and optical materials. He is the author or coauthor of more than 140 journal papers. He has been awared 4 patents and 2 research awards.

Dr. Han is a member of the Optical Society of America.
