Brief Introduction

Prof. Xu Kexin graduated from Harbin University of Science & Technology in 1982 with a B.Eng. in Precision Instruments.  He then moved to Tianjin University for his research in Technology and Instruments in Metrology and Measurement, for which he received his M.S. and Ph.D. in 1985 and 1988, respectively. After two years engineer training at China National Machine Tool Corporation, he moved to Japan, and worked as an Engineer, and then, Researcher and Group Manager in Basic Technology Research Lab., KDK Corporation, Kyoto, Japan.

In 2000, he became a Professor in College of Precision Instrument and Opto-Electronics Engineering, Tianjin University China, where he created and directed Biophotonics and applied spectroscopy Laboratory. From 2002 to 2011, he was Dean of College of Precision Instrument and Opto-Electronics Engineering, Tianjin University

Currently, Prof Wang is a full Professor in the College of Precision Instrument and Opto-Electronics Engineering, Tianjin University, and directs the applied Spectroscopy Laboratory. He is an elected fellow of International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE).  His current research interests include Non-invasive glucose concentration measurement technology and applied spectroscopy.
