个人简介

孙若愚,英才教授,国家级“四青人才”(2020年),天津市杰出青年基金获得者。2014年博士毕业于法国图卢兹第三大学-法国科学院(CNRS)图卢兹地球环境研究所(GéOSCIENCES ENVIRONNEMENT TOULOUSE,导师:Jeroen E. Sonke,汞同位素最主要发展者),之后前往加拿大特伦特大学水质研究中心(WATER QUALITY CENTER,合作导师:Holger Hintelmann,汞同位素主要开拓者)进行博士后研究,2016年在天津大学地科院任教;以第一或通讯作者身份在Nature Communications、Earth Sci. Rev.、GCA、EST等著名期刊发表论文近30篇,总引3k余次,并主持/参与了多项国家自然基金和重点研发计划项目 。研究成果曾被Science杂志News专栏、科技日报等国际主流媒体报道。


目前主要研究方向:利用金属(主要汞)稳定同位素,理解全球的元素循环过程,评估元素的生态环境效应;解析重大地球地事件上汞循环扰动,构建火山活动、陆地风化以及海洋氧化还原变化与生物演化的关系。


主要贡献:1)建立了人为源汞同位素数据库和排放曲线;2)构建了基于汞同位素的过去/现在/未来的全球汞循环模型;3)利用自然记录体(湖泊沉积物、泥炭、珊瑚、石笋等)对陆地、海洋生态系统汞的来源进行了精准示踪。

全球汞循环

汞是自然状态下唯一能够挥发的重金属毒性元素,进行全球循环,并转化为剧毒的甲基汞。基于此,联合国制定了《关于汞的水俣公约》(https://www.unep.org/explore-topics/chemicals-waste/what-we-do/mercury),这也是联合国唯一一次针对单一元素制定的法律。除此之外,汞独特的物理化学和生物特性使无数地球环境科学家为之着迷。特别是近些年发现的汞同位素多维分馏模式,至今仍然存在很多未解之谜。

汞具有环境和地球化学的双重属性,其涉及的研究领域非常广泛且具有重大的科学和社会意义。本课题组主要利用实测数据、数据模型、实验室模拟等多综合手段,从全球视野约束源、过程参数,以求揭示全球汞循环的机理。
