Zhiqun Yang is currently an Associate Professor and a Doctoral Supervisor. He is one of the deputy directors of the Department of Optoelectronic Information Engineering. His research interests include fiber communication, microwave photonics and optical information processing. He is the author or coauthor of 49 papers, including more than 20 journal papers recorded in SCI. He has collaborated widely with academic institutions and industry. He holds 19 applied Chinese invention patents. As the director and the main participant, he has completed 8 scientific research projects, including the National Key Research and Development Projects of China and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He is a director of Tianjin Optical Society, a member of Chinese Society for Optical Engineering (CSOE), an individual member of Tianjin Young Scientists Association, a member of Optical Society of America (OSA) and a member of International Society of Optical Engineering (SPIE). He is also a reviewer for many internationally renowned optical journals such as Journal of Lightwave Technology, Optics Express, IEEE Photonics Journal, Chinese Optics Letters, Applied Optics、IEEE Electronics Letters, etc..
