Fellow of IET, Fellow of ISIPT, Senior member of IEEE, and JSPS invitational fellow. Recieved his Bachlar, Master and Ph.D degree from Tianjin University, worked in Cranfield University as a joint Ph.D. Since 2009, joined School of Electrical and Information Engineering, Tianjin University, and now is a professor and director of Tianjin Key Laboratory of Process Measurement and Control, and Tianjin International Joint Research and Development Center for Process Imaging and Measurement. 

Research interests include process tomography, multiphase flow sensing techniques, biomedical measurement and imaging, multi-sensor data fusion. Published more than 40 papers in peer reviewed journals, and more than 40 patents. Serving Associate Editor (AE) in IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, IEEE Sensors Journal, Transactions of the Institute of Measurement and Control, IEEE Access, Flow Measurement and Instrumentation, Human-centric Computing and Information Sciences. Chair of the 1st International Workshop on Multiphase Flow Imaging and Measurement, Technical/Program Committee member in the international conferences, such as ISMTMF, WCIPT, IWPT, etc.. Research papers won the best paper award in IEEE-IST conference (2009), Chen Xuejun Prize for Excellent Paper of Young Scholars (2009), Municipal Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award of Tianjin (2013), Best paper award in <Chinese Journal of Scientific Instrument> (2015), InstMC Poster Prize - Highly Commended in the 22nd IMEKO (2018).
