Wang Yuan received the Ph.D. degree (Physical Geography) from Beijing Normal University in 2005. She received her B. S. Degree (Environmental Science) and M. S. Degree (Geographical Science) from Tianjin Normal University in 2002 and 1999, respectively. Now she is a professor with School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tianjin University. And she is a member of China-Australia Centre for Sustainable Urban Development, and is a member of Tianjin Society for Sustainable Development.
Her main research field is environmental planning and management and environmental economics. And she has made many research results especially in the input-output model applied on environmental science, life cycle assessment of environmental impact and pollution rights for approval, distribution and trading. She has published over 90 academic papers, which have been cited more than 4,000 times. More than 70 of these publications are as first author or corresponding author, including articles in top international journals, such as Environmental Science & Technology, Resources, Conservation and Recycling. She has also published academic monographs, such as Environmental Economics and Management in the Context of Big Data, A Study on the Cross-Regional Industrial Linkage Characteristics of Air Pollution.
